I know what I said, but it still annoys me when stores start pushing Christmas merchandise in mid-October. (I'm talking about pushing stuff which is branded as Christmas stuff, not pushing the "must have" presents which on their face have nothing whatever to do with Christmas.) Last year in my local supermarket I came across a Christmas cake with a best before date of 25 November that year.

I mention this now because it also annoys me when stores start pushing chocolate Easter eggs before Ash Wednesday.
