Beamed directly into your brain by: David Morgan-Mar
The author writes:
The Earth actually rotates 360° in 23 hours, 56 minutes, and a tiny bit over 4.09 seconds, not 24 hours as most people naively think.
This is nothing to do with the Earth's orbit around the sun, but is rather a side effect of a bargain that Pope Gregory XIII made with Devil in 1582. He paid those 3 minutes and 55 and a bit seconds in exchange for eternal life, this affecting our calendrical cycles in perpetuity.
Of course, being a (literal) deal with Devil, Gregory suffered from a strict reading of the contract, and now spends his eternal life broken into fragments of just under 4 minutes of conscious activity every 400 years.
