The author writes:

We're launching an exciting new service here at Postcard.

You can purchase one of our custom pieces of stiff, thick paper in a handy rectangular shape about the size of the palm of a person's hand, pre-printed with an attractive scene on one side, and on the other side with lines for writing. The lined side is divided into two areas: one for writing a brief account of your recent exploits, and the other side formatted for neatly printing an address, and affixing a postage stamp. With a stamp of the appropriate value affixed, you can drop the whole thing into any handy mailing box, from where the mail service of whatever country you are in will transfer the paper to the mail service of the country in which the address you wrote may be found. That country's mail service will then deliver the item to your intended recipient, who may read your words and marvel at your adventures, while also wistfully admiring the printed scene on the other side and wishing they were there in the same place with you.

We call this novel new device a Dispatchogram.
