You see, the Habsburg and Braseby bloodlines can never meet! It's not so much a case of there being dire consequences, but rather any attempt to have these two families cross with each other ends in complete failure, meaning we have no idea if there are any consequences! Any direct attempt to have them merge has resulted in either annulment after 5 minutes of matrimony, betrothals cancelled any period of time before the wedding ceremony, or barren marriages. Less direct attempts have failed in ways far too numerous to list here. It seems that the universe simply won't have any of it!
