I actually can't tell, because oddly enough the password he left in the cafe in Toronto only gives us access to the annotations! Evidently they're on a separate server from the comics and everything else he uses to run the site.

Which, honestly, I don't even get that decision. Is he worried that the server with the annotations will go down, and he's hoping to isolate the comics so that he won't lose them as well? That might make sense - but how funny would it be if, perversely, it was the comics server that went down and he was left with a bunch of contextless annotations!

Anyway, I decided to be nice and leave the author's original annotation alongside this little speech instead of just overwriting it:

Really, I don't know why you people read the comics that this doofus writes.
