I probably ought to make clear that these flashbacks are not appearing in chronological order. This one shows the exact instant when Antoinette decided that it couldn't ever work out between her and the three-armed eggplant. We saw their actual breakup in a previous flashback.

Interestingly, most of Antoinette's concerns about the eggplant would apply about a thousandfold to Blackdrip. Except, of course, that I try it to make it at least conceivable that Blackdrip really means well, whereas the eggplant was just a jerk.
