The author writes:

Due to the large amount of text on the "love icosahedron" d12, we had to make it extra large, so we made it hollow. Then we added hinges and a locking lid. It also serves as a dice box (initially loaded with the other two dice only), but I suppose you can use it as a make-up kit, first aid kit, toy space helmet, or shirt stuffing for men wishing to dress up as a female robot.
