Tidbits:

The names "Oxidane" and "Petroleum" were chosen to give the story a more legendary feeling.
Oil makes a "Not So Different" remark.
According to some searching, the water industry is worth about 0.8 trillion US dollars, which sounds like a lot until you hear the oil industry is worth about 6 trillion.
