Lucy: You thought you could go out there in front of the whole PTA and slip in a little sermon, didn't you?

Caption: Merry Christmas!

The author writes:

In the original strip, Linus was saying "You speak harsh words at Christmas!" in Latin, then Lucy just became awkward from being unable to understand what Linus said, finding herself standing among all her neighbours who suddenly appeared from nowhere, looking at the fourth wall with them, and having a "Merry Christmas" text floating over her head, forcing herself to smile in order to not look so awkward and confused.

It couldn't be funnier and absurder unless I made Linus speak in some weirder languages.

Original Peanuts strip: 1963-12-25.
