Strip by: Reisen U. Inaba

Schroeder: Hmmmm
Piano: ♩
Schroder: Hey, Charlie Browm! I've got "perfect pitch"!!
Charlie: You mean "A perfect pitch"... Besides, who cares? The baseball season is over!
Schroder: {Walking to another comic strip} Sometimes I think I should put in for a transfer to a new comic strip!
Garfield: {Walking from another strip, both of them didn't notice each other} I wonder if Charlie Browm could use a cat?

The author writes:

Conservation of character: In physics, the law of conservation of character states that the total character of an isolated conic strip remains constant. Characters can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it transforms from one form to another. For instance, Schroeder can be converted to Garfield in character-barter economy.

Original Peanuts strip: 1952-10-01.

Original Garfield strip: 1999-09-24, 2014-01-20 (Walking Garfield).
