The author writes:
This was a full-page puzzle from Electric Company magazine (before it was retitled Kid City). As faithful it is to its source material in the mid-80s, I can't help but think that despite representing a physical manifestation of Garfield, he would hate having himself portrayed this way. For starters, most of "himself" is made out of foods he would rather avoid, or can't eat. Particularly in having a personal distaste for raisins.
Then again, this could be considered a way to keep him from indulging in self-cannibalisation.
