The author writes:
I love the place name of Splott in Cardiff. It apparently comes from "God's Plot". My original idea was to put "splat" into that Garfield search engine thing and then use Photoshop to alter it to Splot. I accidentally put "splot" rather than "splat" into the search field and discovered that the word is actually used quite a bit in Garfield as it is anyway. And then I found that there are more Splotts in the UK. So I went for this pun instead.
And there are four places called Splatt.
