Strip by: Andrew Kepple

Garfield {sitting on a fence in front of a full moon}: A canary walks up to me the other day and he says, "I haven't had a bite in three days." So you know what I did?
Garfield: I ate him!
Garfield {tucked up in bed, dreaming the previous panel}: HA-HA-HA! That was a good one.

The author writes:

Garfield only dreams that he is a comedy genius. In case it wasn't blatant enough who else this might apply to, I drew arrows to indicate just who thinks he's funny when in fact many of his comics' punchlines are so bland and repetitive that they can be interchanged without breaking continuity too much.
