Jon: Why hello, Mr. Puppet!
{Jon, seeing the puppet, shakes its hand}
Jon: How are you, Mr. Puppet? Let me shake your...
Jon: Eeeyuck!
{Jon shakes his hand in disgust upon seeing the puppet attached to Odie's tongue}

2.
{Scene shows Odie, whose overly-long tongue lies on the table and ends up in Jon's glass of water}
Jon: Yuk!

3.
{Odie is standing away from Jon}
{Suddenly, Odie reacts and turns around so fast his tongue wraps around Jon's head}

4.
SFX: Boing boing
Odie: Pant pant pant
{Odie skips around leaving drool over the table}
Odie: Pant pant pant
SFX: Boing boing
{Then he jumps off the table and continues skipping}
{Jon gestures to the table covered in drool...}
Jon: IIIIEEEE
SFX: Slip THUD
{...only to slip over on the drool on the floor}
SFX: SLURP
Jon: AAAGGHH
{Odie gives a sloppy lick to Jon who screams in anguish}

5.
{Odie sees a bunch of ice cream containers and makes himself a tall scoop of ice cream on a cone}
SFX: Slurp Slurp Lick Lick
SFX: Munch Munch Munch Munch
{As soon he finishes eating said ice cream, he greets Jon with a smile}
SFX: SLURRRRRP!
{Odie licks Jon's face, imprinting ice cream-colored stripes on it}

6.
{Jon stands there until Odie comes into the picture. Said dog turns around to face him, much to his horror}
SFX: SLURRP!
{Upon receiving the lick, Jon frantically wipes the drool off his face. Odie turns to the fourth wall}
SFX: SLURRP!
{Of course, not even the fourth wall is safe from the lick}

The author writes:

With Garfield out of the picture, Jon has so much misadventure with Odie and his friendly yet disgusting way of greetings. But does Jon like his dog better than his cat or does he have a reason to keep him after Lyman's mysterious disappearance?
