{The next day...}

Garfield: Would you like to buy a Pawpsicle?
{The next day...}
SFX: Ding-dong
{Garfield walks over to the door and opens it, revealing that Sam-I-Am is standing on the front stoop with a plate of Green Eggs and Ham}
{Cut to Garfield talking to a confused-looking Jon}

{The next day...}
SFX: Ding-dong

{Garfield walks over to the door and opens it, revealing that the GEICO Gecko is standing on the front stoop. Don't ask me how he could ring the doorbell when he's way too small to reach it}
{Cut to Garfield talking to a confused-looking Jon}
Garfield: Would you like to save 50% or more on car insurance?
The author writes:
I kinda like that brief trend from 2000 when the strip would have Garfield walk over to the door, open it, see something weird standing outside, and comment to Jon about it. Thus, this, which is admittedly my attempt at starting a new running gag on this site. I also wanted an excuse to do a strip referencing Zoboomafoo, which is one of my favorite shows from my youth.
My apologies if this results in another "Pudding Pops / Jon Glues a Blender to His Face / Linguistics With Liz"...
