The author writes:

Inspired by a thread in the forums, about how recent Garfield strips are not as inspiring for SRoMG strips as older ones, and a response pointing out how to make remixed jokes out of every strip published in the past 7 days.

The real issue, as I see it, is people using time to talk about nobody making interesting and creative new SRoMG strips rather than using time to make interesting and creative new SRoMG strips.
