Strip by: Camwoodstock & Tori

{The same strip is repeated 5 times, with variance. The following lines below are the strip it is all based on}
Jon: Computers... Everything is controlled by computers these days
Jon: That chicken you ate was even raised by a computer
Garfield {in the stereotypical 1980s tech font}: burp

{Strip 1 is the original strip}
{Strip 2 is the strip corrupted as a .gif file. Halfway vertically, the strip turns to noise, then all darkness}
{Strip 3 is the strip corrupted as a .png file. About 2/3rds vertically, the strip is oddly shifted in a stained-glassy way}
{Strip 4 is the strip corrupted as a .jpg file. Halfway vertically, the strip corrupts in spectacular fashion}
{Strip 5 is the strip corrupted as a .bmp file. About 3/4ths vertically, the strip shifts horizontally one pixel... disappointingly}

The author writes:

We've had quite a few strips involving bitshifts and file corruption, but I wanted to run a bit of an experiment with this one. I wanted to run the same consistent corruption — halfway through the file, shift the 5th character in the middle line to the end of the file — and apply this experiment to various filetypes. I think it's interesting to see how different file types get glitched in different ways like this (sans BMP, that's just a disappointment).

Original strip: 1980-03-20.
