Strip by: Manyhills
{Jon is reading a newspaper}
Jon: Hmm...
Jon: It says here that the unions will never learn...
Garfield: Check.
Jon: ...and that the economy is on the upturn...
Garfield: Check.
Jon: ...and that we should be proud that we are free...
Garfield: Big check.
Jon: ...and that our free press reflects our democracy...
Garfield: Checkarooni.
Jon: ...and that those who own the papers also own this land, and your paper is Tory...
Garfield: Che... wait a minute.
Jon: Oh, look. It says that there are two sides to every story.
The author writes:
"Manyhills, this experimental French literature is, er, all very... interesting... but you know that what your public really wants from you is impenetrable and unfunny music references, right?"
Personally, I prefer "Never Buy the Sun" to "It Says Here", if anything because it's even more hilariously overspecific (it will be almost meaningless in ten or so years, if it isn't meaningless to anyone non-British at the moment).
