[SFX]: Bip boop boop beep {Jon dials the phone}
Jon: The people's flag is deepest red/It shrouded oft our martyr'd dead.
Jon: And ere their limbs grew stiff and cold.
Jon: Their hearts' blood dyed its ev'ry fold.
Garfield: Red flag.

The author writes:

That's the first verse of "The Red Flag", sung to the tune of "O Tannenbaum" (or "O Christmas Tree" if you prefer). It's one of the anthems of the international labour movement, and indeed the British Labour Party sings it at the end of every conference (in theory, anyway - they don't always know all the words).

So raise the scarlet standard high! Beneath its folds we'll live and die! Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer, we'll keep the red flag flying here! Stirring stuff. All the Conservative Party have is top Tory drummer Bev 'Bev' Bevan.
