Strip by: Ian Boreham
{The title screen for a TED talk, with the text "TED: Ideas worth spreading"}
{A dark TED stage.}
{The speaker, Ted (the bear from the movie "Ted") is illuminated with a glass of beer.}
Ted: Ohhh, boy! I sure got some ideas worth %#$&@$* spreading!
The author writes:
Admittedly, searching for existing comics or jokes involving Ted and TED was always going to be difficult, but I did look around. I didn't find such a joke, so I decided to go ahead with the strip. Then I began to worry. Would the TED crowd dislike or even fail to recognise Ted? Would Ted-likers not know of TED? Will this strip be comprehensible to anybody?
Also, given that I haven't actually seen Ted myself, but only watched the trailer and the "best of" compilations, do I have any right to expect otherwise?
Ideas conflaTed in my brain. Screencaps manipulaTed in Gimp and strip composiTed in Inkscape.
