{A stillsuited Fremen DJ is speaking into a microphone in a radio studio.}
DJ: Helloooo...
DJ: it's the 11:00am late show here at ARKS-1, Fremen FM. I'll be keeping you lonely hearts company and and adding some spice to the long, lonely day shift.
DJ: I've got a request here from a "Stilgar", who's asked me to play some tracks for the Shadout Mapes, who he hasn't seen in a long time.
DJ: That's right, it's a shout-out for the Shadout.
DJ: First up we've got "I’m Arrakeen on You", followed by "Last Crysknife", and "You Stillsuit Me After All These Years"
The author writes:
I recently read Dune again after many years. I loved it when I read it as a teenager. It was such a rich universe, with so many interesting characters and organisations. I still enjoyed it this time around, but it was somewhat heavy going, and all the talk of "jihad" is a little too topical these days.
While I was watching the early seasons of Game of Thrones, I noticed a number of similarities to Dune. I'm not accusing GRRM of plagiarism, and I absolutely love GoT. I just found the parallels interesting.
Initial idea for this strip's title: "Shia-LaHeoud". Rejected do to lack of relevance in spite of amusing me.
Drawn in Krita and in Inkscape.
