Meridien: Uh. That's great, Ambrose.
Ambrose: Think of the horizons open to me! I can go to the future and learn all the secrets of science that will have been uncovered!
Meridien: Mm.
Ambrose: Meridien, my dear, are you feeling well?
Meridien: I'm just tired of this lately. Tired of the whole mystic deal, of being the straight woman to Delkin, everything.
Ambrose: Well, go ahead and take a vacation!
Meridien: I don't think we get vacations . . . ?
Ambrose: Of course we do! Two weeks a year! You must have quite a bit of time saved up by now!
Meridien: Oh. Well then, yes, I will take a vacation. Thanks, Ambrose! Did you want to show me your time machine first?
Ambrose: No, no, my dear, go have some fun. The time machine can wait.
Meridien: I think I'll visit Paris. Dine in the cafes, see the architecture, maybe have a smouldering romance . . .
Ambrose: Heheh. "The time machine can wait." My wit has not deserted me yet!
