Samantha: So, what happens now?
Steve: Well, originally you and Delkin were going to have a loving marriage, raise a few children, and save Earth from one enemy after another.
Steve: And Oliver mostly gets distracted with side quests so he doesn't wreck the main plot too early, but he eventually finds love too and gets his fulfillment in training a new generation of heroes.
Samantha: Nice.
Oliver: I like it.
Steve: But the creators have decided that instead you and Delkin will break up over your only son, who kills a bunch of children and drives Oliver into exile, then kills Delkin and spends his time trying to conquer the world. And then Oliver dies too.
Samantha: Uh . . .
Oliver: Wow.
Steve: And all the Hollies contract terminal laryngitis.
Samantha: Are we being written by Douglas Adams?

I do enjoy the new SW movies, but my headcanon is still the OT, the parts of the PT I'm willing to remember watching, and the EU novels up until the Yuuzhan Vong thing starts. And that Ewok movie with the boy and the girl and the freaky lake.
