{Henry yawns over a gravestone.}
[caption]: I awoke from the best sleep I ever had.
[gravestone inscription]: RIP William Block 1757-1802
[caption]: Unfortunately, it was over my grandfather's grave.
{A close-up of Henry's shocked face}
{A moonlit scene of Henry and the gravestone, beneath a palm tree}
Henry: I probably shouldn't say this, but I didn't know you were dead.
{Leaving the shore of a distant tropical island, at sunrise}
[caption]: Embarrased [sic], I went home.
{A long sea voyage}
Henry: Grandpa? You're alive? But I saw a gravestone with your name on it!
{A haunted-looking castle}
William: Sonny, we're the Blacks, not the Blocks!

The author writes:

The intention with this strip was to make a coherent story by reversing the panels (I don't want the strips to solely be "replace the text bubbles"). I figured it would be interesting to make a sequel to the comic strip as well.

Here's where the title comes from.

Original Awkward Fumbles strip: 2009-04-24 / #3: "The Ghost of William Black".
