Strip by: AlduinTheCat
{Calvin's Mom, seated at a writing desk, looks at a piece of paper in a typewriter in annoyance.}
Calvin's Mom: Who wrote "HELP I'M A BUG" on my letter to grandma?
{KidBug, wearing a sombrero, walks away from the writing desk.}
KidBug: No lo hice, seƱorita. {Translation: "I didn't do it, miss."}
The author writes:
The idea of this panel just came to me for no reason, and it pleased me so much, I had to make it. The realization that now, a bug really did write the message, came later, and only sweetened the deal.
As a bonus, the other panel resulting from this character switch:
{DadBug stands over Calvin of Calvin & Hobbes fame, looking down at him. Calvin is casually facing away from him.}
Caption: I'd probably fake my own death and move to Mexico.
DadBug: Who threw a dummy under my lawnmower?
Calvin {of Calvin & Hobbes fame)}: Evidently some bug. How strange.
The title is a reference to this (PG-13 concept-containing) xkcd strip, but... not in the way it implies.
Original Calvin & Hobbes strip: 1986-10-06.
Original Bug Martini strip: My Game is Mud.
