Strip by: KelpTheGreat

Indian: Please! Please! Don't shoot me! You mustn't! You can't! I'm allergic to bullets!...
Indian: Every time I get shot at, I get these ugly, red spots upon my person!
(Tumbleweeds pulls an Aside Glance)

The author writes:

In the third panel of the original strip, Tumbleweeds asks the Indian, "Hives?" To which the Indian replies, "Bullet holes." Why? It's blatantly obvious that this is what he meant, and Tumbleweeds already did an aside glance to acknowledge that, yes, a joke had just been made. There was no need to continue into a third panel.

Original Tumbleweeds strip: 1967; exact date unknown. I scanned it from one of our collections, and the strip did not have a date on it.
