T-Rex: Imagine you weren't allowed to have the same name as anyone else...
T-Rex: WHO EVER LIVED!
T-Rex: You can't name a kid John. He has to be John57936 or whatever. Or JØhn_37$.
Utahraptor: T-Rex!
Utahraptor: Kings and queens have been doing that for centuries.
T-Rex: We are not amused.
T-Rex: Sincerely, T-378-rex.
The author writes:
In hindsight, I'm not sure if the punchline will make sense to anyone who wasn't there while we were discussing this concept while making this comic.
Anyway, this is also a thing for racehorses. You can't give your horse the name of any other horse who was ever registered, ever.
So the other option besides giving your kid a name like John57936 is to name him Caramel Butterfly Cheese.
