The author writes:

Montoni's is a fictional pizzeria from comic strip Funky Winkerbean (which ran from 1972 to 2022) created by Tom Batiuk. The fact I added it was because there was a 2008 storyline (the year prior, there was a timeskip after one of the characters (Lisa Crawford-Moore) died of cancer) where the original owner (Tony Montoni) came back from Florida to find out that Funky (the current owner) did cost cutting for the pizzas, making them taste awful, which leads to Tony arranging a intervention for Funky's workaholic tendencies.

I replaced the tofu pizza with pineapple pizza because most people hate it.
