Strip by: Mr. Skullhead

{Panel 1. A caveman hangs out with a cat. The cat does not look pleased}
Caption: Garfield's history of cats: The first cat was domesticated about a million years ago. The cat (named "Org") was owned by a cave man named "Chuck"
{Panel 2. Org appears to have eaten Chuck, with only his hair and clothes remaining}
Caption: While rumor has it that Org ate his owner...
{Panel 3. A big dog appears behind Org. Org does not seem to notice}
Caption: Historians maintain the family dog ate Org

The author writes:

In the original strip, the last panel says that the family dog ate Chuck. That makes no sense. The previous panel said that Org ate Chuck, so how could the dog eat Chuck too? Was the "Chuck" in the last panel supposed to be referring to the cat, and they forgot that the cat was named "Org"? This has always confused me, even as a kid.

Original strip: 1979-08-07.
