{Steve McQueen is tailed through the streets of San Francisco by hitmen, finally shaking them off after a ten-minute car chase that results in their deaths in an explosion}
Jon: One of the great chase scenes

The author writes:

Frank P. Keller won an Academy Award for Best Film Editing for his work* on Bullitt (1968), probably on the strength alone of the extended car chase for which the film is almost solely remembered today. I doubt this comic will be winning any similar editing laurels.

*the second-best piece of Oscar-winning work of the 41st Awards from a film starring Steve McQueen

Original strip: 1990-02-28.
