If you fold all the fine-dotted lines in one direction, and the coarse-dotted lines in the other direction, the overall appearance of the shape will be as follows:
The cross-section looks like a seven-segment display.
There are holes in the shapes. Taking the cross-section of each layer of the shape from left to right, you get:
This reads "unify typos in place rotate right refold" (ignoring the "typos"). Aligning so we can see vertical columns:

"z" is in position 7) and unify them, you get the string "y66aynz". Pasting the ssections of the original shapes which form these letters together, you get a new shape:
Rotating it right by 90 degrees and adding folding lines like the other shapes makes it look like this:
Re-folding it and reading the letters from its cross-sections spells the following:
