C.1 Tourist

Each photo contains a single more or less conspicuous word or abbreviation in it, as well as the woman pointing in various directions with her fingers. In most cases she is pointing at another one of the photos, but in three cases she is pointing at the camera - a method of indicating the photo she is currently in.

For each photo, find the photo she is pointing at with her right hand and take the letter from that photo's word as indicated by the number of fingers. For example, the right hand in the top left photo points down, to the photo with "espresso" in it. The hand has two fingers extended, so take the second letter, "S". Then do the same with the left hand.

Reading left to right, a hidden message is uncovered:

street near opera house

There are some clues that the photos are taken in Sydney, Australia - the "NSW" on the car licence plate indicating New South Wales; the Sydney Tower in the "telephone" photo; and some lesser Sydney landmarks such as Martin Place and the Museum of Contemporary Art. In any case, the most famous Opera House in the world is the Sydney Opera House.

Checking a map will reveal that the street nearest the Sydney Opera House is MACQUARIE.
