CISRA Puzzle Competition 2007

Puzzle Week is now finished. Full solutions to all puzzles are now available. The competition closed at 9:00am AEST Monday 23 April. Be sure to check back next year in February for details of the 2008 competition!

The competition was open to everyone. Teams of Australian students were eligible for prizes of Canon digital cameras.

Email to puzzles@cisra.canon.com.au was bouncing, but is working again. Please try sending your email again if you've previously tried but failed.

23 April
The 2007 competition is over. Congratulations to the winners! Special mention goes to yope who solved every puzzle without needing any hints, for the maximum possible score of 100.

2007 Competition Dates

  • 28 February - Site open for team registration. Group 1 puzzles released.
  • Mon 16 April - Puzzle Week begins. Group 2 puzzles released.
  • Tue 17 April - Group 3 puzzles released. Hints released for Groups 1 and 2.
  • Wed 18 April - Group 4 puzzles released. Hints released for Groups 1, 2, 3.
  • Thu 19 April - Group 5 puzzles released. Hints released for Groups 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • Fri 20 April - Hints released for Groups 3, 4, 5.
  • Sat 21 April - Hints released for Groups 4, 5.
  • Sun 22 April - Hints released for Group 5.
  • Mon 23 April - Competition closes. Provisional prize winners contacted to verify eligibility. Full solutions released.

All puzzle and hint releases are at 9:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (11:00pm GMT the day before).
