This is one of the best handful of episodes of Star Trek, in my opinion. I wanted to get in some sort of reference to Fantasy Island, but dealing with the story and the gags I wanted to prioritise didn't leave me enough room.
It's good to see Kirk not actually getting the Girl of the Week for once. Even though he can still best a genetic superman with five times his strength in a fist fight.

Captain's log, Stardate 3141.9. We have intercepted a DY-100 class Earth ship, built during the Eugenics Wars in the 1990s.
Spock: SS Botany Bay. No records of any ship by that name.
McCoy: Maybe it's a PLAGUE ship!
2
Spock: Lieutenant Marla McGivers is a specialist in 20th century history.
Kirk: Did I ever seduce her at some party?
Spock: Not to my knowledge.
Kirk: Then what purpose is a 20th century historian on a starship?
3
Caption: They beam over:
McCoy: Suspended animation, 72 of them. They must be 300 years old!
McGivers: From the 1990s! When men were all dreamy, like the Backstreet Boys!
4
McCoy: This one's revived.
Khan: Oh my God, we're back again. Brothers, sisters, everybody sing.
SFX: Swoon! {McGivers swoons}
5
{sick bay}
Khan: My name is Khan. I'd like to read your ship's technical manuals, including how to override bridge control from engineering.
Kirk: Sure, that's only backfired on us once before.
6
Spock: The Eugenics Wars created a cadre of supermen who ruled as warlords. Khan may be one: physically and mentally superior, aggressive, arrogant—
Kirk: Moreso than me?
Spock: —vain...
7a
McGivers: Mr Khan, I'd like to talk about history...
Khan: You and I have no history. Yet...
7b
SFX: Seduce! {they kiss}

{dinner}
Spock: {pointing at Khan} J'accuse!
Khan: Excellent, Captain. Your second in command attacks subtly while you look for weakness.
Spock: Khan Noonien Singh. Most ruthless tyrant of the 1990s.
Kirk: If only I could find something to hold against you.
9
Caption: McGivers helps Khan revive his followers and take over the ship!
Khan: You will die one by one until someone helps me find a planet to conquer. You first, Kirk.
Kirk: Killing Spock would be more convincing.
10
McGivers: I've saved you, Captain. Stop Khan, but please don't kill him!
Kirk: There's only one way to stop a man with five times my strength...
11
Caption: Fist fight in Engineering!
SFX: Punch!
12
Kirk: I'm stranding you on Ceti Alpha V.
Khan: Thus, I give up the spear.
Spock: It would be interesting to return in, say, 18 years to see what has sprung from the seed you plant today.
Kirk: Yes. And let's not tell any future survey ships they're here.
