You know, it always annoys me when online comics fill their comments with rants that don't even have anything remotely related to the actual comic. No references; just some apparently irrelevant blog post they copy-pasted into the rant space because they know people read the comic, and therefore the text beneath it too.

I'll be clicking through an archive, and then I see they've written something underneath. "Ooo," I think. "They might've explained why the dinosaur is purple, or why they chose the change their art style for this one!"

And I get all excited thinking of the mysteries they might reveal, like character titbits that can't be revealed in the comic itself, or their artistic process, and what do I get? Crap about how their girlfriend broke up with them or something similarly uninteresting.

Listen- I read your comics for the comics, not for some pity-fest. Please keep your rants either on topic/actually interesting, or don't write them at all.

And before any of you write in to accuse me of being hypocritical, or even contradictory, I'll have you know that every one of my so-called rants is related to the comic.

No joke. Go back and read the archive.
