{Jon whistles a two-bar riff in the key of A-flat major}
{Garfield's eyes widen as he finds the tune in his head. He walks off to eat, with the tune still in his head, and grows increasingly frustrated as it stays stuck in his head. Unable to take it anymore, he whistles the tune into Odie's head, and Odie now has it stuck in HIS head}

The author writes:

I took the tune from the original strip and replaced it with the opening riff of "Love Done Gone" by Billy Currington, one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard in any genre. You listen to it just once and I guarantee you'll be singing "ba ba da, ba da ba" the rest of the day. I figured out the exact riff by messing around a little in a score writer program until it sounded right, and copy-pasted the transcription into here.
